Practical Details: The House

The house:The house is actually 4 stories: the ground floor is a studio apartment which is occupied by a long-term renter. The top three stories are a separate unit, about 140 square meters (1500 square feet) with four bedrooms and two bathrooms.

Bedrooms/Bathrooms: One of the bedrooms has a queen size bed, another has a double bed and the other two bedrooms each have two single beds in them. One bathroom has a bathtub and shower while the other only has a shower.

The furnishings: The house is fully furnished (furniture, linens, blankets, cookware and crockery). The kitchen is equipped with a refrigerator, oven, dishwasher, microwave and coffee grinder. There is also a washing machine.

Heating: there is no central heating, only the fireplace and a small electric heater (which may be necessary if you are visiting between mid-October and April).

Telephone: the phone will receive incoming calls but will not make outgoing calls except local calls and calls to emergency services numbers (15 for Medical, 17 for Police, 18 for Fire Brigade). To make outgoing phone calls you will need to purchase a phone card. You can also use a calling card or credit card for international calls. (AT&T Access number is 0800 99 00 11). The house phone number is 33 5 63 33 1795 (from abroad) or 05 63 33 17 95 (within France).
